Corrections Policy
How to report a calculator or content error, and how confirmed errors are fixed.
What you can report
- An incorrect formula or a wrong answer.
- An outdated regulatory value, such as a tax limit or a rate for the wrong year.
- A broken tool: it will not load, freezes or shows an error for valid input.
- An incorrect worked example or FAQ.
- A source that does not support the claim it is attached to.
- An accessibility problem.
How to report it
Email support@calculatoratlas.net with the page address, the values you entered, the result you saw, the result you expected and, if you have one, a source.
What happens next
- We reproduce the problem by running the calculator with the inputs you sent.
- We check the formula and, where it applies, the official source and the year.
- If the error is confirmed, the calculation, its independently produced check values and the page’s worked examples are corrected together, and the automated test suite is run again.
- If the change alters results people may have relied on, the page says so.
- If a calculator cannot be corrected quickly, it is taken offline until it is fixed. A page that cannot be verified is not left online with a disclaimer.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a response time, and we may decline a request that turns out not to be an error, for example a result that is correct for the stated assumptions. We cannot give personal advice about your own calculation. See the contact page and the methodology.
